Austin Art scene

A local artist here in Austin sponsored a local art event.  She extended her art gallery to all of Austin.  Any one could submit a painting for display at her gallery.  The only requirements were that the painting needed to be submitted on a 12" x 12" canvas. All the submitted art would be displayed on Saturday night and sold for $100.  Half the price would go to the artist and the other half to gallery.

As you can see, it was packed inside.

Peking Duck (in China)

I (Eric) was in China between this past Thanksgiving and Christmas. About the only two chinese dishes I know by name are sweet-n-sour pork and Peking Duck (now called Beijing Duck). While in China, Beijing specifically, I had the fortune of going to the best "Duck restaurant" in all of China. Of course we had the Peking duck-

They even give you a cerificate that shows you had the official Peking duck from the official Peking duck restaurant in China.

After some of our guests left we were back to just Grandma and Grandpa!! Sooo we decided to go get our Daniels Clan Christmas tree!!! This is our dream tree but unfortunatly we didn't get this one. :-)

We had 35 people at thanksgiving, and 16 of them were at our house!! It was super fun though. :P
